Arabica coffee, together with its Robusta counterpart, originate from the two most widely know species of coffee trees. The Arabica coffee, besides having higher production costs, is also believed to have the best flavor.
Although you're more likely to find coffee of the Robusta species as it's often cheaper and more widely spread, you'll find the extra time taken to find Arabica coffee is worth while. Yes, you can indeed find premium Robusta coffee, usually used for espresso blends. As for pure Arabica coffee, you'll be enjoying one of the most fantastic coffee drinks you'll ever taste.
If you usually prefer Colombian coffee, then you already know what to expect, as Colombia only produces Arabica beans, and so do Kenya, Tanzania, Guatemala, and some other countries. But then again, no two coffee blends are alike, and the joy of coffee tasting is to try as many different blends as possible. So have fun searching for the perfect one for you!
